Half a century on from the original ceremony in Mallow, Joe and Anne Robinson marked their wedding anniversary, this time in their adopted town of Enniscorthy.

The same bride and groom decorations were on the cake at The Bailey and Anne's sister Catherine arrived from Limerick, recalling that she was the flower girl back in 1963.

The Studio upstairs at the venue in the Old Barracks was packed with family and friends for the occasion, with guests travelling from as far as Waterford, Graiguenamanagh, Borris and Goresbridge to be present. And The Davitts arrived from Ferns to provide the music which followed the food.

The Robinsons have been in County Wexford since Joe took up an appointment with CIE in New Ross. They spent seven years there before moving into the station master's house in Enniscorthy 37 years ago. The couple have seven surviving children, 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren - twins Olivia and Charlie, and newly arrived Christian.
