Invitation to take part in bird survey

NATURE enthusiasts in North Wexford are being encouraged to take part in a garden bird survey in December, and with this in mind, Simon Collins of the Wexford branch of Birdwatch Ireland will give two local talks on birds next week.

He will give introductory talks on identifying and feeding garden birds, and people will be encouraged to take part in the survey. The talks take place in Gardiner Grain, The Mill, Millands, Gorey, (formerly Wexford Farmers' Co-op), on Thursday, October 10, at 7.30 pm; and in Gardiner Grain, Coolgreany, on Friday, October 11, at 7.30 p.m.

Tea will be served on both nights.

The Coolgreany event is being run in conjunction with Coolgreany Tidy Towns Group, who will be organising the local survey.

Staff from St. Aidan's Garden Centre, next to Gardiner Grain at Millands, will be in attendance with plants from the Garden Centre, that are especially attractive to birds. All are welcome.
