Hair studio staff raise hundreds for NWSPCA

A FEW shaggy dog tales were told at the NWSPCA fundraiser in the Redline Hair Studio in Gorey, as the staff clipped and shaved their way to helping the worthy charity.

The Esmonde Street premises was celebrating its fifth birthday, and decided to give back to the local community by offering haircuts to animal lovers for €5 in support of the animal welfare organisation.

The staff gave up their Bank Holiday Monday to do what they do best, and helped raised hundreds of euro for the NWSPCA.

Chairperson of the Society, Colin Webb, expressed the gratitude of the Society to Amy, Irina and all the team at Redline for their generosity and time to support the cause. 'It's great to get the support from the local business community,' he said. 'It's always very much appreciated.'

All funds raised for the animal welfare group, stay in North Wexford, where the charity has a policy of supporting local business when it delivers its animal welfare services.
