Craanford gives €34,304 to Hospice

CRAANFORD Heritage Society continued its sterling support for the local Hospice Nursing service when it handed over a cheque for a whopping €34,304.
The sum was raised at the annual Markie Doyle Memorial Vintage Run in January, and members of Craanford Heritage Society gathered in Craanford Hall last week to present the cheque to Cecily Jones of North Wexford Hospice Homecare.
Chairman of the Craanford Heritage Committee Danny Whelan paid tribute to all who gave of their time to both fundraise and take part in the event which is always incredibly well supported. He also thanked everyone who supported the event.
Cecily Jones said she was delighted to accept the cheque on behalf of the Hospice Homecare, and she thanked Danny Whelan, Michelle Kavanagh, Mattie Doyle, and Josie Green, and many others for all their hard work and commitment to raising funds for this worthy cause.
'As most people know North Wexford Hospice Homecare is part of Co. Wexford Hospice Homecare, which provides a homecare team of specialistsl nurses specialists who look after seriously ill people in their own homes,' she said.
