THE ARTISTIC talents of Ballyduff National School pupils were celebrated recently, when Róisín Cronin of Sightsavers visited the school to present pupils with Leinster awards.

Sixth class pupil Ashling Crawte, and Elese Doyle from Senior Infants, were both Leinster winners in the annual Sightsavers Junior Painter Competition. Kate Doyle from third class was also highly commended in the competition.

The pupils watched a very interesting presentation on the work of the Sightsavers charity, and this was followed by a question and answer session. The theme of this year's competition was 'I would love to see...'

Róisín commended the school for the superb achievement of having two Leinster winners.
