ST MARY'S Donore won its first ever under-13 title following a terrific display against a game Moynalty outfit at Syddan.
The East Meath boys had the dream start when Liam Sheridan's left foot shot found the back of the net within 30 seconds of the start.
St Mary's added further points from Jamie Collier and Cian O'Brien to lead 1-2 to 0-0 after 10 minutes.
Moynalty responded with a well worked goal and a converted free to reduce the deficit to the minimum with five minutes of the half remaining.
However St Mary's finished the stronger in the run up to half-time with points from Cormac Dunne and Graham Tully to lead 1-7 to 1-4 at the break.
Two Moynalty points at the start of the second half had the match on a knife-edge once more but with Paddy Brady, Peter McGowan and Josh Moore in fine form in defence St Mary's Conor O'Brien, Daniel Tully, Eoin Flynn, Paddy Brady, Graham Tully, Cormac Dunne, Conor McGovern, Peter McGowan, Liam Sheridan, Cian O'Brien, Jamie Collier,Danny Clarke, Peter Gogan, Ciaran Rogers, Conor O'Brien. managed to keep their noses in front.
They eventually sealed victory with further goals from Liam Sheridan and Peter Gogan putting the match out of Moynalty's reach.
