GRAHAM REILLY'S outstanding displays at intercounty level throughout the year have been recognised with the award as Meath senior footballer of the year.
The St Colmcille's man lined out in the somewhat unfamiliar role of midfielder during this years senior championship campaign with great effect and was the leading scorer from play in the country with 19 points. He scored in all of the county's six championship matches.
He will be presented with his award, The McDermott/Hanley Trophy at a function in the Newgrange Hotel, Navan this Saturday along with all the other award winners.
Padraig Donohue (Kiltale) was voted senior hurler of the year.
The full list of winners is: player-ofthe-year - Graham Reilly (St Colmcille's); young player-of-the-year - Cillian O'Sullivan (Moynalvey); hurler-ofthe-year - Padraig Donohue (Kiltale); young hurler-of-the-year - Shane Whitty (Blackhall Gaels); club-of-theyear - Ratoath; grounds-of-the-year - Trim; referee-of-the-year - Stephen Masterson (Boardsmill); most improved referee-of-the-year - Patrick Neilis (Kilmainham). Hall of fame winner will be announced on the night.
