DROGHEDA Town Under-18s bounced back to winning ways on Sunday with a comfortable win over Clontarf.
It took the Drogheda side some time to get into the match, but Alan Wilton was unlucky not to score as he made a number of chances for himself.
However, the opening goal came from Clontarf when they seemed to simply walk through the Drogheda defence. This shocked the Drogheda side into action and Brandon Sullivan had a shot tipped over the bar by the keeper.
Clontarf had one other shot at goals in the first half, a screamer which flew just over the bar, while Kieran Bowyers also had a shot which went straight into the keeper's hands.
Town came out ready to perform and equalised early in the second half. There was some great movement initially in midfield and James Walsh then took the ball out wide and crossed for Brandon Sullivan to finish well.
Daniel Rothwell in goals for Drogheda Town didn't have much to do in the second half, and having pushed for a winner the hosts came up trumps courtesy of a header from Bowyers.
