Glyde Rangers V Roche Emmets

  • Go To

Friday 6.45 – Dowdallshill

All the form is with Roche, but they will underestimate Glyde at their peril. The Tallanstown outfit enjoyed a long spell in the senior grade and didn't even look out of their depth last season, despite being relegated. It wouldn't be a big surprise if they turned their season around here, but Roche's league form has been very solid.

Verdict - Roche Emmets

Sean O'Mahonys V Dundalk YI

Friday 8.00 – Dowdallshill

The first derby of an an all-Dundalk group, and with the Clans waiting in reserve both sides will be desperate to make a winning start. A lot will depend on how O'Mahony's cope with the Maguire brothers and the pacey Irelands forward line in general, but they are capable of cutting off the supply further out the field and have a few tasty young forwards of their own.

Verdict - Sean O'Mahony's

St Fechins V Na Piarsaigh

Saturday 6.30 – Stabannon

With St Joseph's going so well this Group A opener could be crucial and there is little to choose between two sides who are going reasonably well in Division 2 of the league. The Termonfechin made the better start to the year, but the 'Naps' have been racking up some big scores of late and might be peaking at the right time.

Verdict - Na Piarsaigh

St Mochtas V Hunterstown R

Saturday 7.45 – Stabannon

There was only a point between the sides when they met in the league in Louth Village in April and this renewal should be just as close. Hunterstown have blown hot and cold compared to last year's heroics, but their opponents can be equally inconsistent.

Verdict - Draw
