WITH both teams already through to the semi-finals, St Patricks and Cooley battled it out for top spot in the league and it was the Lordship men who came out on top by five points.
Not for the first time, it was Paddy Keenan, who was the star of the show as he scored a total of 1-7 in his side's victory.
In what proved to be an open game there were some well-taken scores throughout from both sides. The Pats got off to a bright start and were 0-4 to 0-1 ahead in the early stages before going in at the break leading by 0-12 to 0-8.
Cooley got themselves right back into the game three minutes after the restart when Michael Rafferty took advantage of a quickly taken free to find the net.
However, the Pats regained control when Keenan scored his side's goal on 47 minutes to help his side run out winners by five points.
