A MAGNIFICENT last-minute point from teenage sensation Ryan Burns snatched the points for Hunterstown in a game Glyde will class as one that got away.
The Tallanstown outfit were three points ahead going into the last five minutes but couldn't withstand a late Hunterstown comeback.
The bottom club were hoping to overtake Hunterstown and they started well. However Hunterstown were soon in control and they raced clear with six points in a row. A Damien Garland goal gave Glyde a much needed score as they stopped Hunterstown's momentum and reduced the deficit to just a point at the break.
Glyde looked in trouble after the break as Hunterstown got the opening three scores to pull four clear with just 20 minutes remaining. However Glyde had other ideas and they came roaring back into the match with a string of points to put themselves four points clear.
As the game entered it's final stages Glyde were three points clear but there was to be a final twist as Keith Brennan, Maurice O'Sullivan and Paul Carrie scored in quick succession to level the game before Burns popped over the winner.
