Spring Clear Out

Right ladies doing a wardrobe clear out? If so send any good quality, or new clothes and accessories to Drogheda Senior Citizens Interest Group. A new boutique "Déjá Vu" will be opening on the 1st May in West Street Arcade (where the Wise Owl used to be).

All proceeds from this boutique will be donated to the Drogheda Senior Citizens Interest Group.

So ladies it's for charity so get de-cluttering that wardrobe, it's all for a good cause.

Please drop them into The Drogheda Senior Citizens office in West Street Arcade Monday - Friday 10:00am - 2:00pm, or freephone (1800 200 459) for collection. All donations will be greatly appreciated.

MOLL IN DROICHEAD

Donore/Rosnaree drama group by kind permission of the Drama League of Ireland present "Moll" by John .B.Keane at the Barbican, Drogheda, commencing April 15.

The play is a comedy set in a rural village parish . The newly appointed Moll is a priest's housekeeper who takes over a parish house with a "divide and conquer" strategy .

Tickets priced at €12 will be supporting numerous local charities.

TULLYALLEN PASSION

EASTER BAKE

St. Oliver's N.S is having an Easter Bake Sale this Friday at 10am in the school. Funds raised will go to the school. All welcome!

COFFEE MORNING

There's a Coffee Morning and Cake Sale at Drogheda Community Services Centre, Scarlet Crescent, Drogheda this Friday at 10am until 12:30pm. Admission €2. All Welcome.

SPINATHON

After the hugely successful charity spinathon fundraising event last year Integral Fitness and Leisure, with the help of over 720 spinners, aims to raise in excess of €50,000.

The three main charities chosen this year are Drogheda Animal Rescue, St.Ita's school for special needs and the Oncology unit in the Lourdes Hospital.

CECILIAN SINGERS

IN PREPARATION for Holy Week, Drogheda mixed choir 'The Cecilian Singers' will perform Gabriel Faure's 'Requiem' in the Highlanes Gallery this Friday at 8pm sharp.

Accompanist on the night will be well known local musician and organist Edward Holly and the choir will be also be joined by a guest baritone for the occasion.

Tickets are €10 and the evening is in aid of the Specialist Palliative Care Services, Dochas Centre, based at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

SLANE GFC CAMP

Slane GFC presents an Easter football camp with top level coaches from Meath's coaching and games unit present each day

The Easter Camp is on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday April 15-17 for ages 6-13. It's 10-2.30pm each day. Cost is €30. (For a family registering two children cost is €25 each, three children cost is €20 each)

LENTEN LUNCHES

THE Yearly series of Lenten Lunches in aid of Drogheda Homeless Aid are taking place again this year, for the sixth time.

Every Wednesday during Lent, April 9th and 16th, there will be a choice of Soups, Sandwiches and Coffee at St Peter's Church hall on Peter Street. They will be serving between 12.30pm to 2.30pm.

With all proceeds going to Drogheda Homeless Aid, suggested donations are Adults €5, Children €2.50.

MASS FOR SICK

A MASS for the sick takes place in the Augustinian Church each Friday at 4.15pm with anointing of the sick on the First Friday of each month.

TEXT ALERT SYSTEM

Monasterboice and District Community Text Alert signs are now available for purchase to local householders, local farmers and businesses.

A Public Meeting is now scheduled for this Friday at 8pm in Naomh Mairtin GFC, Monasterboice to provide feedback and listen to our residents and businesses who have signed up to receive community text alert messages. This is an opportunity for locals with questions or queries to attend and have any relevant issue discussed. Refreshments will be available and a raffle will take place for those present on the night.

HOLY HOUR

A Holy Hour with music and reflections is to be held in St. Mary's Church, James Street, Drogheda on Wednesday April 9th at 8:00 pm. All Welcome.

AT THE DROICHEAD
