Rescue service recover pensioner's body

THE BOYNE Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service recovered the body of a man, believed to be in his 70s, who went missing in the early hours of last Sunday morning.

The body was recovered in the River Dee at Gudderstown, Ardee.

Ardee Gardaí were joined by The Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service, Drogheda Coast Guard, Clogherhead Coast Guard and a Coast Guard Helicopter in the search for the missing man.

The body was removed to a local hospital for a post mortem exhamination.

Members of the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service wish to extend their sympathy to the man's family and friends.
