Remarkable home now on market

NOW is the chance to own your own church in the heart of mid Louth.
But this is no ordinary church, it's a completely modernised home, and it has just come on the market.
Charlestown Church is a former Church of Ireland which dates back to 1827. The present owners bought the property in 2007 and set about extensive internal and external restoration.
In the restoration project the current owners essentially had to build an independent structure within the building and used the best of materials and modern technologies, to turn it into a luxurious home.
This church boasts a handmade kitchen by McAuley Kitchens, the floors are tiled with beautiful Italian travertine and sumptuous carpets. They've even gone as far as installing chandeliers and wall lights.
The remarkable stained glass windows were mostly donated by well-known families of the area, including the Foster family whom the Speaker Foster was a member. One such window was designed by Harry Clarke, the famous stained glass window designer of the time. All the stained glass windows are double glazed externally.
The spire has been restored by Raineys (experts in Church Steeples) and now has a certified lightening conductor installed. Viewing by appointment with Savills Country in Dublin.
