The Integral Fitness Spinathon Charity Challenge is almost ready to roll.
This year's Spinathon has had an unbelievable response and only has three half hour slots left out of a possible 72.
There has been an amazing effort from all local sports clubs and charity organisations in pulling together to help raise funds for both their clubs/charities and also Integrals chosen three charities - NECRET, The Oncology unit in The Lourdes, DAR Drogheda Animal Rescue and St. Ita's school for children with special needs. One other organisation has taken five slots hoping to raise money for baby Alice Turner, with Declan Browning spinning for 12 hours solid on the final day in an extra push for Alice.
'We promise to have a lot of fun over the three days with plenty of variety of groups taking part including Firemen Spin, Fancy Dress Spin, Sexy Spin, Muscle Man Spin and man many more. Also on the Saturday we will have an extra special surprise all day in Scotchhall so keep your eye out for that,' a spokesperson said. 'It's not too late if you wish to take part we still have three slots left, if you would like to take part contact Noel (Juicy) on (087) 7586409. We will also have buckets on the day if your about you can donate directly there or by sponsoring someone with a sponsorship card which over 600 have been circulating around the local area for the past few weeks and will continue to right up to the start of the event.'
