This coming week is a momentous time for local dance club Fit Kids/Fit Teens as twenty-eight members travel to Las Vegas, USA to represent Ireland in 'The World Hip Hop Championships 2014' (5th-10th August). As 'Team Ireland', they will battle it out with forty-five other nations to take the title.

Not only did their adult crew DY-NASTY and their varsity crew NASTY BY NATURE qualify to compete, but their solo dancers also qualified. Matthew Williamson, Ashleigh Fox and Ian McDermott will take on the World in the Breakdance section. Rachel Donohoe and Ashling Murphy are in the Locking section and young Darragh Rochford with Dean Kenny (12) and Santino Santaro with Rachel Donohoe hope to triumph in the All Styles doubles section.

The dancers recently performed on RTE's 'Saturday Night Show' where they also spoke about their passion and pride in representing their country. Fit Kids/Fit Teens Founder Jacinta Cassidy praised the dancers' focus and determination.

She also praised the wonderful choreographers from RAW EDGE CREW - Sly Sode, Rachel Murphy and Ciara Moran, the parents, friends, supporters and any local businesses who helped in any way to make this journey possible.
