New management committe at Senior Citizens Interest Group

A NEW management committee has been elected at the Drogheda Senior Citizens Interest Group.
William Woods, who has headed up the 'Care and Repair' programme for the past several years, is the new chairman with secretary, Kathleen Briggs. She is a leading member of the Louth Older Peoples Forum.
The treasuer is Patrick Smith, a well known retired business man who is very active in the community. He is involved in Ballsgrove active group and Community House in Rathmullen.
Pauline Connor is the PRO and has also served as office manager.
'We look forward with confidence to working together and delivering 'Information and Support' to the Older members of our Community.
'I would like to pay tribute to our former Chairperson Maeve Healy and Treasurer Anna Lennon who have delivered an excellent service for the past 16 years.
' They are two local heroes that have quietly worked at improving the lives of Older People. They are remaining with the committee and we look forward to their continued support.
' They have set a high standard and we commit ourselves to that task,' stated chairman William Woods.
