Mock trials for Philip

Published 15/04/2009 | 11:27

FROM using his karate skills to beat his opponents, to using his advocacy skill to beat the opposistion!

Local businessman Philip Smith, who is in his final year of reading law, along with his cocounsel Mr Sean O'Quigley, recently entered the interversity's mock trials on behalf of Griffith College law faculty.

The idea behind these moot courts is to put the trainee counsel under pressure from real judges with a fictional case.

Both Philip and Sean have been reading law for some five years with a view of being admitted to the bar sometime in 2010. Looks like they're well prepared!
