A MOTHER and toddler cheated death in a dramatic car crash on Dunleer's main Street.

The pair had just stepped out of Pat's Gift Shop when a car smashed into the doorway – and a second vehicle was sent flying into the door of the cafe beside it.

'It's just by the grace of God that nobody was killed,' Joe Torris from Pat's stated.

He admitted he has watched the CCTV of the incident on a number of occasions and still can't believe how the two people escaped without a scratch.

'They were just a few paces away when the car hit the doorway,' Joe continued.
