TWO motorists cheated death in two terrfying crashes within hours of each other.
A teenager was taken to hospital after his BMW left the road at Carntown on the Ballymakenny and ended up on its side in a field. He suffered a wound to his elbow and was taken from the scene in an ambulance. The roof of the vehicle had to be cut off by the fire service to free him.
A short time later, gardaí and fire crews had to leave that accident to get to Our Lady of Lourdes Church where a car crashed into an ESB pole opposite the church.
