A Dunleer girl who helped produce an emotional tribute to Brian O'Driscoll on his retirement from the Ireland team got the perfect thank you – the chance to hold the Six Nations Trophy.
The Irish star and three team mates, Cian Healy, Ian Madigan and Jack McGrath visited the children and staff in Temple Street Children's University Hospital with the RBS 6 Nations trophy.
When he was there Brian thanked Lauren McCullough in person for the heartwarming message she sent him before his final games.
The players took the time to visit the ICU and the Renal ward spending time with the patients and their families.
The video produced in the hospital went viral in Ireland and the UK and was played in the Aviva on the day of Brian's last home game. On the video Lauren thanked Brian for everything he has done for Temple Street. Lauren attends Temple Street three times a week for dialysis treatment.
'It was the most touching tribute I could have received,' Brian said.
