IT'S TIME to have an Environment Protection Agency office established in Drogheda to serve the region.
That's the view of Louth councillor Frank Godfrey who believes the service is needed.
'We had very smoggy conditions around the area just before Christmas and I got a lot of complaints from people about it. Naturally people are concerned,' he stated this week.
'There needs to be a discussion between local plants, the respective county councils and the EPA if the plums coming from chimneys cannot escape in foggy weather.'
