But next Saturday morning, at 11am, Collon's famed Church of Ireland will be the focal point as a campaign is formally launched to save the church roof.
Friends of Collon Church have come together to launch the campaign to re-slate the outer roof. so that the stunning plaster ceiling can be saved.
Various events have taken place so far as part of the project.
Seamus Roe, vice president of the Louth Archaeological Historical Society, will chair the event with background information from three speakers.
Dr Christine Casey, Associate Professor of Architectural History, Trinity College, will speak about the architecture of the building.
John Rountree, chairman of the Friends of Collon Church, will outline the fundraising done so far.
And Mairead McGuinness, Vice President of the European Parliament, will formally launch the fundraising appeal.
