Dance and performing arts workshop coming to Our Lady’s College Greenhills

A DANCE and performing arts workshop for children and teenagers led by the International Artiste Team will take place in Greenhills at the end of this month.The course will have a broad curriculum with dance classes including Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Hip-Hop, Body Popping, Break Dancing as well as basic gymnastics and singing which will run between 10am and 4pm.

A DANCE and performing arts workshop for children and teenagers led by the International Artiste Team will take place in Greenhills at the end of this month.

The course will have a broad curriculum with dance classes including Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Hip-Hop, Body Popping, Break Dancing as well as basic gymnastics and singing which will run between 10am and 4pm.

For the older students there will also be styling and catwalk and to finish the 2 day course a showcase performance for friends and family to attend to see what has been learned in a short space of time.

The International Artiste Team, who have already brought two workshops of this kind to Skerries, are now about to reach out to Drogheda and hopefully the rest of Ireland with their dance and performing arts course for children and teenagers between the ages of 8 and 18.

The course will have instructors from London and Dublin all of which have expertise in specific fields.

This includes Kevin Woods (AKA Kevin Andrew) who is originally from Skerries in County Dublin and trained as a professional dancer at what was The Digges Lane Dance Centre in Dublin back in 1990 before being awarded an Arts Council Bursary Award and Scholarship to further his training at The Arts Educational School in London and Chloe Treend who trained at Ballet Rambertand was part of The Harlow Ballet Company and has worked extensively within the industry in almost every realm.

The 2 day workshop will take place in Our Lady's College, Greenhills, Drogheda, on November 26 and 27.

Registration will take place at 9.30am on Saturday 26 in the assembly hall and the cost for the weekend will be ?80 inclusive.

To secure a place a ?30 deposit will be required, and spaces are limited.
