Cardiac responders volunteers needed

Knockbridge/Louth/Tallanstown Linked Community Cardiac First Responder Scheme urgently require volunteers living in these areas who are willing to become cardiac first responders in this CFR Group which is linked to the Louth network of responders and the HSE.

This responder system functions when a 999 or 112 emergency call to respond to a cardiac arrest, choking, stroke or chest pain is made to the ambulance service, the responder's mobile phone is alerted to respond immediately, go to the location where the casualty is, and start cardiopulmonary resuscitation immediately.

. Volunteers have to be over 18 years of age, be garda vetted to work in the community and sign a confidentiality agreement.
