GARDAI ARE investigating a number of burglaries over the weekend in houses and premises in Drogheda including a house in Brookville, Ballymakenny Road.
Items of jewellery were taken and a considerable amount of damage caused to the house in the raid which took place sometime between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.
The same day in Stameen, a resident woke to find that the kitchen had been ransacked over night. It appeared nothing was taken when the back door was forced while the occupant was asleep, and all the drawers were turned out.
A laptop was stolen from Tullyallen NS, when a burglar broke an office window and gained entry. The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday morning, and an item was removed and is being examined for finger prints.
An attempt was made to enter the pharmacy in Tullyallen the same night.
The shutters were interfered with and a window damaged, however they failed to enter, and nothing was stolen.
