THE NEWTOWN Blues are hitting the road again on May 3 for their fifth annual sponsored cycle.

The cycle has become an important event in the club calendar and especially so this year, as the club seeks to promote the GAA's healthy club initiative programme.

Blues members and friends will travel a distance of 120km from Drogheda to Tullamore, Co. Offaly (The Tullamore Trek).

Shane Nugent, organiser of the cycle said 'training has just commenced and every weekend we have experienced cyclists who are available to help all participants prepare for the big day. This is a great way to meet new people and challenge yourself.'

The event is open to anyone, beginners, novices and pros, so join the cycling group every Saturday/Sunday morning to train for the 120k. Everyone is welcome to take part groups and individuals
