While everyone else was excitedly unwrapping presents, Inga Juskauskite, from Byranstown Court, was wrapping baby Tajus in his baby-blue blanket.

The Christmas surprise was born to Inga from Lithuania, now living in Drogheda, at 6.59am on December 25th 2012.

He was a bouncing 3.86kg in weight and mother and baby were said to be doing very well.

The rest of the town had thoughts of turkey and ham on their minds, however, the hard-working staff of the Labour Ward were helping new lives into the world, and four new arrivals chose this special day to come.

'Little Tajus arrived just before 7am on Christmas morning, and I want to say a huge thank you to all the staff who were on duty all over the Christmas period, especially the night staff,' said Christine McGeough CMM2.
