WHEELCHAIR users at Brabazon Drive on the Golf Links Road in Bettystown are fuming after new speed ramps left it impossible for them to cross the road.

The work was undertaken in recent weeks but the height of the ramps has resulted in a hazardous route out of the estate, close to the golf club, for some.

'I have received complaints about the ramp and it is now impossible for a wheelchair user to cross,' Cllr Ann Dillon Gallagher stated.

There are two wheelchair users in the area and 'we have to get this sorted out now,' she told council officials at the Slane Area meeting.

The council have said they will look into the matter.
