THE RAPID programme is being downgraded after funding from the department was withdrawn for it. Priority projects will still be targeted, including work on CCTV improvements.

The third annual Monasterboice Fun Run will take place on Sunday 5th January 2014.

THE 11th Bagfull of Songs birthday takes place this Friday, January 3rd, at Sarsfields with a great turnout promised.

Healing Mass will be celebrated in the Augustinian Church, Shop Street, Drogheda on 13th January 2014 at 7.30pm. The Mass is run by Drogheda Community Drugs & Alcohol Forum in conjunction with Holy Family Prayer Group, It is for anyone suffering with any illness or addiction and their families. There will be blessing of the sick on the night. The celebrant is Fr. Tom Hogan, all are welcome.
