MISS CRILLY has a link to Beethoven himself. I was up in her unqiue establishment on Fair Street recently and read a remarkable piece.
Having been taught by Muriel O'Callaghan, Miss Crilly's credentials go right back the centuries, to approx 1580!
You see, it began with Capece who taught Carissiho, who in then taught others, including Beethoven and his teacher moved on, ending in Albeniz and Paul Dukas who taught Muriel. So there is a direct link between Drogheda's legend and Beethoven and it's all in black and white. And the nationalities sweep from Italian to Austrian, Czech to German, French, Belgian, Spanish and of course, Irish.
