Has the church sunk?

A VISITOR to Julianstown recently for a religious ceremony expressed their amazement to me on seeing it for the first time.
'Has it sunk?' they exclaimed, and to those that don't know it, that's probably a fair assumption.
St Mary's Church is a most unusual design and I'd say for it's time, 1982, it looked very modern. It was designed by Liam McCormick, described as Ireland's most prominent church designer of the post-Vatican II period. A wonderful sight indeed!
