He has been appointed Administrator of Donore. Since his ordination in his native parish of Tullamore on 8 July 2007, Fr Gonoude has served as curate in the Holy Family Parish.

Bishop Michael Smith has also appointed Fr Michael Meade as Parish Priest of Summerhill in succession to Very Reverend Thomas P. Gavin, Pastor Emeritus.

Ordained on 21 June 1987 in his native parish of Rathkenny, Fr Meade has served as curate in Castletown-Kilpatrick, Kingscourt, Ashbourne and Mount Bolus. He has, until now, been Parish Priest of Donore since 2009.

'I want to wish Fr T P Gavin well in his retirement and to thank him for his good work in Summerhill since 1999. It has been a pleasure to serve the parish of Donore and Rosnaree for the past five years. Last December we celebrated the renovation of the church in Donore, which was the product of a real community effort. I will miss this community spirit and I wish Fr Tony all the very best in his role as parish administrator,' Fr Meade said.
