Estates to be taken in charge by council

SINN FEIN Councillor Imelda Munster has announced details in relation to the taking in charge by the council of Termon Abbey and Aston Village.
Tender notice of the works are in, with the final awarding of a contractor planned for April 2104 and works to commence the following month.
'After almost three years of holding the council to account over the bonds (or lack of), we got there in the end,' said Cllr Munster.
'I would like to pay special thanks to the residents committees for the last two years of hard work.'
The procurement procedure is a two stage process with a pre qualification process preceding the contract award stage.
The Tender Notice will go onto E tenders, with pre qualification of contractors to be completed by February 1st 2014, Tender Documents completed by 28th February and the contract awarded by 30th April 2014
It is hoped works will commence works on May 19, 2014.
