AS IF the prospect of seeing Tommy Fleming wasn't enough, staff at the Gary Kelly Cancer Centre took time out this week to show off the splendid array of raffle prizes on offer during the show.
This weekend's concert will raise funds for the centre and, with funding stretched, is vital in helping to maintain services.
'Support for events like this is huge for us,' said Ann Treacy from the centre. ' We hope people use it as their Christmas night out and as a way of helping the centre too.'
The event is actually the Lady Mayoress (Linda Bell) Show and she is delighted to be part of the project.
'We wanted to put something special together and I contacted Tony Lynch and we ran through a few acts and then Tommy came up,' Ann added.
A big boost has also come from the d Hotel who have agreed a special package for the night. Show tickets (€30), transfers, dinner and overnight stay, €89pps.
Tickets for the special raffle can only be purchased in the TLT on the night.
First prize is a 60 second trolley dash around SuperValu in Stockwell Street to a maximum of €500. Second is a signed Liverpool jersey and third, a TV, courtesy of Lallys.
Tickets can be had in the TLT, The Gary Kelly Centre, CD World and the d Hotel.
