BRESSIE and the other judges selecting the winner of the last ever School Stars at the TLT could be in for a long, but captivating night, this Wednesday.

The final of the Primary Schools is set to bring onto the stage the cream of talent in the entire region. Last week's semi-finals were simply awesome – with a number of acts displaying the class that could make them winners, while others just missed out on a lucrative final spot.

Laoise Dunne Ward from Presentation, Ballymakenny, is the 'queen of soul'.

Performing Al Green's 'Let's Stay Together' she was spellbinding and effortless – as Louis Walsh would remark 'I'd go out and buy your CD now!'

Jessica Donagh from Scoil Colmcille in Mount Hanover is equally as accomplished and her rendition of 'Skyfall' was stunning.

David Byrne from St Joseph's CBS will give the lads a huge chance if he hits the mood like 'With or Without You' from last Tuesday's semi-final. Lauren Murtagh from Navan drew gasps of appreciation again after her 'Clown' performance, while Makenzie Kermath from Callystown had the power of a singer beyond her years.

Grace Willis from St Patrick's, Ardcath, has a timeless class that will see her make it big, while for a comedy act, Comedy Kidz from Tullydonnell are magnificently polished.

Calum Agnew from Duleek who performed his own song 'Tell Me Why' has a quality that makes him a huge prospect and as for dancing, Angela Maire Jose from St Mary's PPS is a lady who can dance with both her feet and her eyes. She has to be seen to be believed.

Stackallen's Jessica Kealy is a star, as are Beth Heslip from Laytown and Siobhan Leanne Reynolds from Callystown and of course the majestic April Judge from Presentation.

The 'cute factor' has already gone to the Murray Family from Kilcurry in Dundalk and watch for what could be a future queen of country, Lauren McCormack from Duleek.

The semi finals just threw up top act after the next, Laura Victory, maybe a West End star for the future, superb, Matthew, Harry and Calum from Whitecross up with her, Kool Kidz (Presentation), dancer Sidas, Matthew Sharkey (Duleek), Ben and Joe, Abbey Rice, BSL's from St Mary's, Saoirse Hayden (Scoil Aonghusa), Aoibheann/Emily/Josie (Stackallen), It's a Girl Thing (Stamullen) and Aston Village singer Nicholas Armlich just some of the others to catch the ear, finalists or not. Overall, two majestic semi-finals, but who is going to win Bressie?????
