'Only Love' with Carmel
FOLLOWING the great success of her sell-out concert in October, Carmel Boyle performs 'Only Love' again as she returns to the Droichead Arts Centre for a repeat of her enjoyable programme of Nana Mouskouri hits.
The show will also include a couple of seasonal Christmas songs this time around.
The local singer, pictured, who has been focusing on singing her original spiritual and sacred songs for the past 20 years, is reconnecting with her roots as she sings songs recorded by one of her early musical influences. Carmel recently did a recording of some of these favourite songs, and it will be launched at the concert on December 8 in the Droichead Arts Centre.
Carmel will again be joined by her talented brother Niall Boyle, who is also a well-known local singer-songwriter. Along with providing accompaniment and backing vocals for his sister, he will also take to the stage to perform a couple of Demis Rossou's songs. She is also joined by accompanist David Leddy and Andrew Healy. Proceeds from the performance will go towards An Croí Wisdom Learning Centre at The Stables, Bachelor's Lane, which was co-founded by Carmel herself and Geraldine Holton.
