Fleadh judges visit Drogheda

LAURENCE STREET will be transformed into 'Fleadh Street' on Saturday, February 15, to coincide with the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2015 adjudicators' visit to Drogheda.
Mayor Richie Culhane is inviting the people of Drogheda to come out on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to experience the buzz of "Fleadh Street" for themselves.'
On the day, Drogheda Comhaltas branch musicians and dancers will perform the length and breadth of Laurence Street.
'We want to give local people a sense of what it would be like to be the host town for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann,' said
'There will be live music and dancing, lots of action and excitement on the street. The street will be decorated and there will be a special market, food tastings and lots, lots more. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the fun,' stated Lolo Robinson of Drogheda Comhaltas.
The value of staging the All-Ireland fleadh is close to €35m for the local economy.
