The Buttevant Parish Mission, which has been running throughout the past week, concludes this Friday September 27. No doubt many lapsed parishioners will have been rejuvenated in their beliefs following the mission devotions and having witnessed some of the evening ceremonies, this mission had none of the fire and brimstone which were part of missions in times past.
All ceremonies were conducted in a calm, and relaxed, and somewhat comforting atmosphere. Here's hoping we will all have benefited from this renewal, in our faith, and beliefs.
The weekly "bingo session" continues to be held on Monday night, in the local G.A.A. hall with numerous monetary prizes to be won by participating players.
