Soccer club gets back to winning ways at UCC

Fermoy's senior Soccer team got on to winning ways in the MSL Premiership last week end when they won 1-3 away to UCC, as this was only their second game of the league, they will be hoping for a good run which would see them climb up the league table.
The club's junior team scored another good victory in round two of the FAI Junior Cup when they won at home by 4-3 on penalties after finishing 00 at the end of normal time.
That man again Liam Coleman, this time in goal, was one of the heroes of the day saving two penalties to help win the game for Fermoy.
PITCH AND PUTT
The final of the Carry-out league was not played last weekend, instead it has been refixed for Sunday October 28th with a 2pm shot- gun start.
It is important that all players will be in position ay 1.50pm sharp, teams taking part in the final are those captained by the following - Shane O'Hara, James Devonshire, Wayne Galvin, Barry Doyle and Daniel Keohane.
The overall winner of last week end was club chairman Noel McCarthy on 41 nett, well done Noel to find the time to play despite all your other commitments to the town.
CHANGE OF DATE FOR SENIORS SOCIAL
The date for the Fermoy Senior Citizen's Social has been changed, it will now take place in the Fermoy rowing Club premises on Friday 2nd November, proceedings will start at 7.30 pm sharp and light refreshments will be served followed by a night of dancing to the music of Edmond O'Gorman and Pacific Blue.
