1-0 at halftime, Peter Lynch struck for the home side in the 30th minute of the second half and Steven Kennedy put his side 2-0 up on the 50th minute but Youghal got one back 15 minutes before the end to ensure a nail biting finale to this at times ill tempered game.

Youghal's behaviour, both players and coach, at the final whistle caused raised eyebrows and sources say the incident will be reported to the Cork Schoolboys League Committee.

Meanwhile, in the U14 League Kanturk bounced back from a 5-1 defeat on St Patricks Day away to Macroom with a depleted squad with a 5-0 win at home over Rockmount.

Rafat Komonski got 2 and Liam O'Brien, Darren Brown and Jack Murphy getting 1 each. The League now looks like it's between Kanturk, Macroom and Wilton, so all remaining games are now vital.
