Great win for junior soccer side

SOCCER: Fermoy's senior team were not in action last weekend so the junior side had the limelight to themselves. They made full use of the occasion to advance in the Munster Junior Super Cup. They scored an emphatic 2-0 victory over College Corinthians

PITCH AND PUTT: The club's Intermediate team's interest in the County league faded at Kilshannig where Claycastle from Youghal defeated Fermoy by 5 games to 3.

At home, the final pairings for the Touch of Luxury league were decided. The takes place on Sunday, March 11.

Following the presentation of prizes, the club is holding a table quiz to help boost club funds, a similar event was held last year and it proves a very successful and enjoyable occasion for all.

On this Sunday the finals of the Fermoy Credit Union-sponsored winter league will take place. PITCH & PUTT LOTTO: Numbers drawn 9, 13, 19, and 33. Jackpot €20,000 not won. Lucky dip winners of €40 each were: Fr Liam Ryan, c/o Kevin Cronin; Paul Cashman, c/o Juvenile Club; Martina De Roiste, c/o Juvenile club; Nell Richards, c/o Self, and Brendan Buckley, c/o Juvenile Club.
