West Muskerry AC member Rachael O’Shea at the Celtic International 2014.

RACHAEL O'Shea was selected for the Celtic International on January 4 last in Antrim.

She was part of the Junior Celtic team and she did her country, herself and her club proud.

While cross country is not her favourite event, she trained hard and earned her position on the team.

She ran a very fast race and finished in 12th place. She was the fourth member home of the Irish team, which finished in second place.

This was a great achievement for Rachael and she is now looking forward to her preferred event, the 800m, in the indoors and outdoors track and hopes to be back in an Irish vest and running for her country again shortly.
