Killavullen Ladies Football: Registration for previous players and new players will take place on Friday February 28th between 7 and 8 pm in the GAA dressing rooms. We welcome back last year's players and welcome new players. We currently cater for U 8, 10, 12 and 14.

MALLOW SEARCH & RESCUE

The annual river raft run from Mallow to Killavullen takes place on Sunday 16th of March. Sponsorship cards are now available from all members.

NAGLE RICE SEC. SCHOOL

A gala floral demonstration by Geraldine McCarthy will be held on Wednesday 5th March at 8pm. Tickets cost €10 and are available from the school on 022 24599 or from Kristene Stafford in Castlekevin. There will be a raffle on the night for the displays.

COMMUNITY COUNCIL

The winner of The Haven Bar's lotto bonus draw on Wed 19th was Timmy Buckley with bonus number 11 and Dave Mellerick won the Griffin's bar draw on Saturday night last with the bonus number 13. All proceeds of this lotto go towards the hall development loan and many thanks to all who support these draws and those organizing them.

COTTAGE CHILDCARE

Cottage Childcare will be taking part in National Pyjama Day 2014 which will take place on Friday the 7th March in aid of the Irish Hospice Foundation. (Hospice Home Care for Children program). Each child will receive an envelope this week to get sponsorship to wear their pyjamas to pre-school. There will have lots of fun activities on the day so please support this very worthy cause.

KILLAVULLEN GAA

Fixtures: On Saturday 1st March the U21 Blackwater Rover team will take on Glanworth in a back door football championship game. Time and venue to be confirmed. On Sunday 2nd the Junior A's plat Glanworth in Glanworth at 3pm. Please support both of these teams.

LOTTO RESULTS

On Tuesday 18thFebruary the draw for the local GAA weekly lotto took place in Griffin's Bar and the numbers drawn were 1, 5 & 23. There was no winner of the €1,600 jackpot and the lucky dip winners were €50 John Magner (Magner's Bar), €30 Michelle Sheehan (O'Regan Stores) & €20 Eoghan Buckley (The Haven Bar).

The next lotto draw will be held in The Haven Bar with a jackpot of €1,700. Tickets are only €2 and available from club members and shops and bars locally.

45 DRIVE

Taking 1st place with 10 games last Sunday night at the Killavullen 45 drive were Dan & Margaret McSweeny. In 2nd place with 8 games were Patsy Roche and Phyllis Carroll. The best of the last 5 games went to Mary Hickey and Dan O'Brien and the last game was won by Dan Browne and Ann Drinan. The raffle winners were Mary Hickey, Maureen O'Donovan and Pat McCarthy. Remember cards are in Killavullen Community Centre every Sunday at the new time of 8pm.

KILLAVULLEN FARMERS MARKET

The next farmers will be held at the Nano Nagle Centre on Saturday 1st March from 10.30am to 1pm. Please support the market.

IRISH HEART FOUNDATION

The Irish Heart Foundation wish to thank everyone for their kind generosity at last weeks church gate collection. A total of €418 was collected. Thanks to all who helped with the collection.
