Juvenile policy documents launched by GAA club

Important Policy Documents: Kanturk GAA club recently launched important policy documents at its Clubhouse in relation to its juvenile section. The policies were on Child Protection, Antibullying, Drug and alcohol and code of best practice when dealing with young players.

Important Policy Documents: Kanturk GAA club recently launched important policy documents at its Clubhouse in relation to its juvenile section. The policies were on Child Protection, Antibullying, Drug and alcohol and code of best practice when dealing with young players.

An overview of the policies were given at the launch. These policies highlight the clubs priority that the level of care towards it's young players is of the highest standard.

The formal launch was performed by Marc Shehan, Chairman of Rebel Og in Cork and children's officer with the Cork County Board. Marc complimented the club for prioritising these issues in catering for it's juvenile players.

The policies will be on the club website, kanturkgaa.com. Queries can be directed to the clubs Children's officer Pat Bradley from whom hard copies can be requested if required.

Intermediate Footballers to Open League Challenge. Kanturk Intermediate footballers begin their county division 4 league campaign on Sunday next 17th February against Mayfield at Mallow with a 2,30pm start. Kanturk will be hoping to get off to a winning start. Wolfe Tones (Kanturk) U16 footballers lost to Inniscarra at Ballyanley on a 2-5 to 2-7 score line in the Rebel Og U16 Prem2 (group 1) football league on Saturday last 9th February.
