Garrymae Gaels and Clyda Rovers to do it all over again
TWO late points by Seamus Ronayne and Christopher Buckley ensured that Clyda Rovers and Garrymae Gaels must meet again when they finished level in the Country Clean Recycling U-21 'B' HC semi-final at Kildorrery.

Following an entertaining encounter there was very little separating the sides who were level on eight occasions. The Ballygiblin-Araglin outfit had some good displays by Shane Frewen, Ken Carroll, Barry Coffey, Michael Walsh, Joseph O'Sullivan and Seamus Barrett while Clyda Rovers were well served by Chris O'Connell, Cian O'Sullivan, Conor Flanagan, Christopher Buckley, Seamus Ronayne and Conor O'Sullivan. Rovers lost key player Kenneth Fitzgerald in the 25th minute with a knee injury.
The opening stages saw both sides quick to settle being level at 0-2 each after 11 minutes before the Mourneabbey side moved five clear after 26 minutes with points by Christopher Buckley (three) Kenneth Fitzgerald and Conor Flanagan. Gaels regrouped well despite being off target on eight occasions. They had a point by Joseph O'Sullivan before they cut the lead down to just two before the break when Seamus Barrett goaled to leave Ballygiblin-Araglin side trail by 0-9 to 1-4 at half time.
On the changeover, Michael Walsh had an early point for Gaels before both teams conceded alot of frees that were converted by Joseph O'Sullivan and Christopher Buckley and by the 42nd minute Clyda held a one point lead, 0-11 to 1-7.
Over the next few sequences of play the Mourneabbey side added three quick points by their inside forwards of Seamus Ronayne, Seamus Madden and Sean O'Connor that moved them four clear entering the final 10 minutes 0-14 to 1-7. The Ballygiblin/Araglin outfit responded in determined manner and helped by Joseph O'Sullivan who scored 1-1 from frees to force parity for the second time. The closing stages saw both Buckley and O'Sullivan hit two minors to force extra-time, 2-10 to 0-16.
The sides traded three points each before Garrymae Gaels took the lead for the first time in the 17th minute of extra time with two points by Barry Coffey and Brian O'Sullivan. It looked like they might hold out for a close win. However, the experienced Mourneabbey side never gave up and they rallied to the end forcing their opponents to concede two late frees that were sent over by Seamus Ronayne and Christopher Buckley to see the sides force a replay that takes place in Kildorrery on Monday September 30.
