TEN of the most famous Irish plays condensed into one hilarious hour-long performance.
That is the proudly insane boast of the ITSA Theatre Company, which is at the Half Moon Theatre in Cork this week with their brilliant show The Irish Canon (abridged).
The show, which will run at the venue until Saturday, sees three actors hurtle through ten of the most famous Irish plays ever written, whipping through more than 70 characters in a show that is crammed with culture, comedy and hysterics.
The show features some of the characters that have dominated Irish theatrical circles for more than a century, including Cathleen Ni Houlihan, Christy Mahon, Bessie Burgess, the Bull Maccabe and many more who grace the stage in quick succession,
This multi-faceted parody is filled with oodles of imagination and a knock-about sense of fun and guarantees to give you a chuckle.
Tickets for the show, priced at €15 and €12 are available from the box office on 021 4270022 or at www.corkoperahouse.ie.
