THE business women of the North Cork area received a welcome boost last Wednesday when acclaimed business coach, trainer and facilator Jackie Gowran spoke to a full house at the Mallow GAA Complex on 'Work Smarter Not Harder'.

She guides participants to notice and improve what is working and to change what is not working, resulting in clarity and renewed focus. Her approach is person centered, engaging and interactive, which results in real learning and is truly practical.
The Mallow event was facilitataed by Theresa Mulvihill of 'Smart Marketing' who made sure that the women on the night got the most out of this networking event.
This event was billed as 'a must' for women who are micro and small business owner / managers who were serious about taking control of their own future and are willing to commit to make their businesses thrive into 2014 and beyond.
"In today's business climate networking with potential clients had never been more important," said Joan Kelleher, Business Development Executive of the North Cork Enterprise Board.
"There is a realisation among most sensible business people that they look beyond traditional ways of doing business and the type of promotional activities that they previously engaged in.
"We have been delighted with the enthusiastic response that this networking initiative has received, which demonstrate that smaller companies are willing to look at every opportunity that presents itself."
The event received an overwhelming thumbs up from all in attendance as they left with an invigorated pep in their step.
North Cork Enterprise Board is to host another network event with one of Ireland's most engaging and inspirational motivational speakers and training facilitators, Pearce Flannery on January 16, 2014 in the Fermoy Community Youth Centre.
