INTERNATIONALLY renowned clinical psychologist Dr. Sandy Gluckman is to host a workshop in Cork for parents of children with special needs.
Dr Gluckman has over 30 years experience and conducts workshops all over the world.
Her four-hour sessions are for parents of children with symptoms of bullying, temper tantrums, low self-esteem, meltdowns and moodiness.
Her workshop will also help parents whose children have been diagnosed with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), Autism Spectrum Disorder, Aspergers, Tourettes, OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder) and depression.
Dr Gluckman has developed a programme called 'Parents, Take Charge!'.
This programme educates parents and teachers about healing children without prescription drugs and teaches them how to identify and remove the underlying causes of learning and behavioural problems, rather than medicate the symptoms.
The workshop for parents will take place Sunday, November 24 from 2-6pm at The Maryborough Hotel and Spa, Douglas. The workshop costs €80 per person or €140 for both parents. Registration is by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
