Paddy Ryan - Mitchelstown Matters

Mitchelstown Golf Club in association with Pieta House will be hosting the inaugural Poc & Putt hybrid game of hurling and golf comprising of teams of three to be held this weekend August 10, 11 and 12. It is intended to organise an All Ireland inter club competition for 2018.

Poc & Putt is a novel game combining the skills of hurling, camogie and golf where a hurley and sliotar are used from tee to green or green vicinity and replaced by a putter and golf ball to hole out on the green.

A promotional DVD has been produced with the assistance of Pieta House and the following Inter County stars: Aisling Thompson and Anthony Nash (Cork) - also Pieta House ambassadors - Cathal Barrett and Michael Cahill (Tipperary) and James Ryan (Limerick).

The organising committee is grateful to them for their help and advice in producing the video.

The video clip can be accessed on the Mitchelstown Golf Club website. Everyone is urged to attend the sure-fire hit event.
